Sokoban is an incredible little brainteaser game with very simple rules.

Easy ? Hard ?

As you want ! Some levels are made to the first steps of beginner players and some ... for expert players !

You will find in this website all my public works organized by Cosmos collections, that are included in most of Sokoban programs. And you will find some exclusive ones, that are not published elsewhere.

You can download files in XSB format.

PS : I modify the date of publication to correspond to the released date of the collection.

For each collection, I indicate the difficulty with a little picture as below.

That's my opinion adjusted by the feedback of some players.

Beginner (1-2,5) : You never played Sokoban ? It seems easy to play, but you don't know where to begin. Those levels are there for you !

Initiate (3-4,5) : You begin to know some tricks, and you solve more and more easily 3 box-levels. You just finished the auto-generated collection (3 boxes) of Yoshio Murase. Try them !

Amateur (5-6,5) : You know the most popular Websites of Sokoban and begin to collect plenty of levels. Sometimes you spend half an hour on some levels and explose of joice by solving them. The name of the authors are familiar for you. Try to solve those levels in less than 10 minutes !...

Expert (7-7,5): You solve by glancing any level with 3 boxes (or 4). You are a member of a Sokoban Club, and you bookmarked all the interseting Sokoban site. You talk about Sokoban around you. You are looking some more and more difficult levels. Try to solve those levels in less than 15 minutes !...

Expert + (8-8,5) : A little bit more harder than Expert.

Fanatic (9-9,5) : You want to create a Sokoban Website. You created your first collection of 10 levels and would like to publish it. And tomorrow, you will begin to write a Sokoban program. You are a fanatic of Sokoban (it's still a small club) and you mail with other fanatics. You can analyse a level with your 3rd eye. Could you solve them in less than 20 mn for the fanatic levels and less than 30 mn for the fanatic levels ?... It's hard to solve them.

Master (10) : Step by step, you improved yourself and Sokoban have almost no secret for you. In the street, people are boxes, and cars are some targets. In your house, you move and push everything to place them on virtual targets. And you sometimes wonder if a small level can resist to you more than 45 minutes ... Try it ! It's very hard to solve them and difficult to remember the solution ...
